Giant Bass of lake El Salto

Mexico and especially the lake El Salto is the place where you can catch the Bass of a lifetime.

This lake has been over the years the Mecca of the trophy Bass anglers from all the world.

The lake has a great healthy population of giant largemouth bass and there is a good collaboration with the professional Tilapia fisherman who use their nets only few days in the month and on specially designed areas, therefore anglers don’t suffer of their activity.

These Tilapias are the main forage of the Bass and it makes them grow bigger and faster than anywhere else.

It not uncommon to catch more than hundred Bass a day with a lot of fishes weighing between 2 and 6 lbs and trophies of 10 to 14 pounders are caught every days as well.

You will stay in a cosy and typical Mexican rancho close the lake with a great service, good food and open bar so you can share your fishing stories with other anglers in te evening having a couple of Margaritas .

You will fish 2 per boat (bass boat style) with a pro guide and even the transfers from Mazatlán airport are included in our packages..

Top water fishing on stormy hot days is fantastic, but you can use almost all Bass lures on this lakes, swimbaits, jerkbaits, spinnerbaits … wacky style, Carolina and Texas rigs do well and even drop shot is an issue some days.

Sight fishing is fantastic in pre spawn period (and even after) in a word lake El Salto is a place you must absolutely discover if you are a Largemouth Bass angler dreaming of catching a big lunker .

Fishing season last almost 10 month, August to end of October have to be avoided because of heavy rains.
