THE GOLDEN DORADOS OF RIO ISORO

The Golden Dorado is one of the most ferocious and spectacular predator fish in south America, it is a great challenge to cach this flying fighters on fly or light spinning gear .

In the province of Corrientes in Argentina there one of the most important  sweet water reservoir on earth called Ibera’s marshlands .

Our Lodge is situated by of the tributaries of the Rio Isoro which is  with the Rio Panama one of the major water provider to the system.

The great thing is that there are no other Lodges in our area and the canals and tributaries of the Rio Isoro povides year round clear water fishing which is a must when it comes about Golden Dorado fishing.

The Lodge is a recently wooden ranch made in logs and it offers a great confort to the anglers, there is even a swimming pool to fresh up after a warm day .

Rooms are big with large beds air conditioned and private bathrooms.

The food is great and both international and Argentinian , with of course a lot of meat !

Wines are a must and there is a fully stocked bar.

You will fish from well equiped motor boats (2 anglers per boat) with and expericed fishing guide who knows all about the Isoro and it ‘s Dorados .

You can expect 20 strikes or more per day with a 10 fish to the boat being a good average.

Sizes are mosly from 2 to 20 lbs (larger specimens exist but are seldom caught on the fly or with light tackle spinning).

The wild life is abundant with crocodiles, anacondas and other boa type snakes, capivaras , jaguars , puma, and many birds and prey birds .

You might cross also some gauchos along the Rio, here you are in the heart of Argentina and it’s tradition . And if you want to make a break you can even visit the old town of Mercedes located 25 miles away from the Lodge.

The season starts in september and ends around mid june.
